At the age of just 23, I completed my qualification as an Industrial Master Craftsman in Metal and took on personnel responsibility – leading a team of more than 100 skilled professionals. At 33, I entered the field of recruitment.
As a site manager and operations manager, I developed the company’s own personnel controlling system as well as its business management processes.
The dot-com crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic repeatedly hit the industry particularly hard, causing the demand for skilled professionals to decline sharply. Yet in the years that followed, the need for specialists and executives continued to rise again.
So I decided that I only wanted to work for true talents – people with a strong drive for vision, success, and goals, as well as genuine passion for what they do. Even in economically challenging times, I look to the future with optimism, because after every crisis comes an upswing and a renewed need for visionaries and talent.
Whether in professional or private life, reliability is my highest priority. I believe it is essential that people can count on one another. For me, this is the foundation of every successful collaboration and every relationship built on trust.
Respect, to me, is a sign of genuine appreciation. In a time when social media is often shaped by speed and superficiality, respect has become increasingly rare – and I find that truly unfortunate. Perhaps I am a little “old-fashioned” in this regard, but I consciously hold on to this value.
I am convinced that giving is more important than taking. Wherever possible, I find it enriching to create added value without immediately expecting something in return. A positive attitude not only makes your own life easier, but also inspires the people around you.
